PETER DYER
It is with great sadness that I report the death of Pete Dyer who passed away on Saturday morning 31st of May 2014. Pete was one of the longest serving members of Stowe Angling Club. His association with the club dates back over 60 years. Peter or ''P.D.'' as he was perhaps better known, became a founder member of the original Stowe Employees A/C now of course Stowe A/C. Peter was match secretary from 1956 until the old club closed when the National trust took over the club. He re-joined the committee when the club was reformed in May 2004 until he retired in April 2012 after a very long commitment to the club. Without doubt his knowledge of the estate, and in particular all matters relating to the lakes and fishing at Stowe was second to none. He will be sadly missed by all who knew and respected him for his huge contribution to the club, coupled with his outstanding ability as an angler. Old photographs of Pete can be seen under the more... History - Old photo's of Stowe A/C tab. Our condolences go out to his Family and Friends.
